nicole reynolds - poems

election day

election day is usually grey
an older woman prays
near a stone grave
in her back yard
it's hard
watching leaves fall
there'll be none at all
by december
the weather
pulls the fools in
but i stay out
i like my sauerkraut
cold. i'm old,
just hold
me and sweetly
whisper my name and love
love love.._
